Welcome to The Other 51, a new summer podcast series.

It's a series about writing. I'll be talking to writers of all kinds - sports writers, authors, journalists, etc. - to find out how they do what they do. What their process is like. What inspires them.

It's an idea that comes from the guest speakers I've had in my classes at SUNY Oswego. Rather than always talk about the big picture and SPORTS MEDIA ISSUES, let's talk about the most basic thing we do. Let's talk about writing.

There will be Hamilton talk, too. (The title is a dead giveaway for musical fans).

Episode 1 is my friend Dr. Molly Yanity, who's series #QUreads is part of the inspiration for this series.

Episode 2 is author Charles Benoit, who writes ads by day and novels by night.
